Triumph Motorcycle Recall
Triumph is recalling 2010 Thunderbird motorcycles due to defects in ABS system components.
The UK motorcycle manufacturer says 1,955 Triumph Thunderbird cruisers manufactured from September 2009 through August 2010 were built with incompatible thread locker/screw combination on the ABS unit at the front fender mounting.
The screws may work loose, and contact the side wall of the Thunderbird's front tire, leading to tire deflation, increasing the risk of crash.
Under this recall, dealers will install new screws, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided an owner notification schedule. Owners may contact Triumph customer service department at 1-678-539-8782.
