MV Agusta proudly introduced the new Brutale 990R and 1090RR motorcycles in 2010. Created at MV Agusta's CRC design center, the highly anticipated launch of the new Brutale naked motorcycles signified a new revitalization for the famed Italian brand, known for crafting high-performance bikes, in the wake of Harley-Davidson's notice that the company was for sale.

Now, MV introduces The Cannonball Kit, created by the MV Agusta Corse group, a race-only kit adds performance, and perhaps more prestige, to the naked machine.

MV Agusta objectives were very clear--increase performance, make the bike lighter, and fully exploiting its technology. To do so, a number of components have been developed exclusively for the Cannonball Kit.

These new motorcycle part updates include the engine control unit, cylinder head, camshafts, valves, and exhaust system, which is manufactured completely from titanium with a low-slung exit pipe.

The new technical components claim to help the Brutale Cannonball excel on the racetrack. The exciting performance is restrained by the pure chassis and by high quality suspension components that enable the rider to enjoy easy handling and the typical pleasure of riding an MV Agusta motorcycle

The excitement starts in figures: the maximum power flies to 165 hp, 21 more than the 1090RR standard bike. At 9,000 rpm, the power is 140 hp, at 10,000 it is 160 hp. A little later the maximum is reached, an absolute record for Brutale.

You don't have to give up to torque, as there are the same 83 ft/lbs developed by the standard Brutale 1090RR. The objective of the highest performance has not given a back seat to the traditional care that MV Agusta dedicates to design and attention to detail.

The Brutale is a wonderful example of essential and smart details. It can be enriched with the addition of a lower fairing, of tail section, and a large number of additional components in carbon fiber and aerospace aluminum enhancing its racing heritage.

The bike takes shape on the screen and then it transforms into a titanium and carbon fiber jewel with the easy purchase on-line with the exclusive components of the kit.
