Joe Rocket Jet Set Jacket | Review

Motorcycle Apparel

Getting geared-up is all part and parcel of the motorcycle experience, so slipping into something that looks great and provides protection from the elements makes it all that much better. The Joe Rocket Jet Set jacket is a sleek, sexy full-leather sport-riding jacket, with many of the safety and comfort features I was looking for.

Being tall, I found the jacket to fit well and be very comfortable. The jacket is composed of cowhide leather that is a rash-resistant 1.2 to 1.4 mm thick. It is well padded inside and has a Variable Flow ventilation system. The dual density body armor did not dig into my arms, elbows, or forearms.

This Jet Set jacket has a removable spine pad with pocket for an optional CE spine protector. The bottom backside of the jacket also has a separate section of padding to protect the base of the spine. The side of the jacket has two adjustable leather straps on each side to bring in the waistline, enhancing the feminine fit.

Fitted with ventilated mesh, on hotter days I was able adjust the zippers on the front of the upper arms to get a little extra ventilation. The wrists have a button and zip closure feature. A removable quilted vest liner is comfy and warm. I found keeping it in at all times works well, as I easily get cold although it can easily be removed for washing.

There is a very usable deep inside pocket (versatile with or without the liner) on the right hand side of jacket that is easy accessible. Should you want to connect the jacket to Joe Rocket pants, there is a back zipper on the inside of the jacket.

The Jet Set’s colors are really nice, as the contrasting blue and black pop. The inside of the jacket has a fashion stitched Joe Rocket logo around the inside in an attractive silver and gray. The discreet embroidered insignias that add a little something to the package that isn’t immediately obvious.

Joe Rocket Ladies Pro Street Gloves

To compliment the Jet Set, the Pro Street gloves look great and fit very well. The molded split knuckles allow for maximum flexibility, while the soft gel padding underneath the hinged knuckle adds protection and make the gloves more comfortable. Normally my hands get sore, but with these new gloves on my hands felt great even after a long ride.

High density padding on the fingers, double leather wrap around on the palm, and a convenient hook-and-loop wrist strap add the to overall appeal of the street gloves. The gloves come in Pink, Black or Gray.
