Supercross Showdown
With the start of the 2011 AMA Supercross Championship less than a week away, the fan waves are churning with predictions for the series and a much-anticipated Anaheim I. If the 2010 season showed its fans anything, be sure expect the unexpected when that gate drops on Jan 8, 2011 in Calif.
Chad Reed's Son
It's a boy! Bust out the bubbly and the cigars, "Baby TwoTwo," has finally made his way into the world. After 36 intense hours of labor, Ellie and the Supercross star Chad Reed have welcomed the arrival of their son Tate.
Houston Supercross
Finishing up a 3 month national tour, the 2010 AMA Arenacross Series crowned a victor last month in Denver, Colorado. Riding into the Mile High City with a 22 point lead, Josh Demuth captured his third career Arenacross championship title.
Daytona Supercross
With Chad Reed suspected to make his return to Supercross today at Daytona, things could get interesting for the new blood currently dominating the series. As it stands right now, number 22 is expected to make a game-time decision after he rides through practice.
First Fuel-Injected
With Austin Stroupe taking second place this past weekend at the Indianapolis round of Supercross in the Lites class, his new 2010 Suzuki RM-Z250 is proving itself to be a noteworthy contender on the track.
One Year Later
It has been a year since the Freestyle Motocross (FMX) world lost the renowned talent, Jeremy Lusk. After a tragic crash in a competition in Costa Rica, Lusk succumbed to his injuries mere days later.
Supercross San Diego
Barely moving through a quarter of the season of the 2010 Supercross series, this year has been fraught with injuries and unbridled competition. As Supercross heads to Round 5 at San Diego, there is one thing you can count on; expect the unexpected!
With the headlining rivals, James Stewart and Chad Reed, both sidelined for an undetermined period of time, there's a whole new pack of young blood seeking their places on the podium.
YZ450F Rearward-Slanted
Unveiling the new 2010 YZ450F, Yamaha looks to have outdone the competition on this one. Sporting a new aluminum bi-lateral frame, digital power tuner, modern aesthetics and a newly created engine among many other features, in laymen's terms, this motorcycle is a refined beast.
Supercross Round 3
Moving towards Anaheim 2 it looks as though James Stewart is injured but ready to race Supercross. In a recent online interview with Racer X, Stewart admitted that while both his shoulders and ankles are sore, he's still "healthy enough to race." After suffering 2 significant accidents at the last bout in Phoenix, Stewart took to the internet waves to shed his thoughts on what happened between himself, Kyle Partridge and Chad Reed.
Supercross Rookie
James Stewart may be contending with a new sheriff in town. Rookie sensation Ryan Dungey is garnering a lot of attention and has dominated the track so far this season. Winning his first race in Phoenix during round 2 of the 2010 AMA Supercross, Dungey held the lead throughout every lap.
Nike Motorcross Boots
It looks as though Nike is trying their hand at every marketable sport. Confirmed on Racer X the other day, James Stewart and Ryan Dungey will be wearing Nike motorcross boots at the Anaheim I Supercross. With any luck, Nike will bring more mainstream exposure to Supercross and the talents they are sponsoring.
SX Rivalry
The fact that the 2010 Monster Energy Supercross Series revs up on Saturday is exciting all on its own. However, if you mix in a good old fashioned rivalry like the one between Chad Reed and reigning champion, James Stewart, the anticipation of a thrilling season is palpable.
