Hot-Rod Custom
Harley-Davidson has expanded its youth-focused Dark Custom line with a daring new addition--the Sportster Forty-Eight. Utilizing the Sportsters' fuel-injected 1200cc Evolution powerplant, the Forty-Eight rides low with slammed suspension and a classic peanut tank that holds a scant two-gallons.
Being a Dark Custom, black is the name of the game. Blacked components include the air cleaner cover, clutch and brake levers, and turn signals. For those who demand some color, the Forty-Eight comes in Mirage Orange, in addition to Vivid Black and Brilliant Silver.
With a low solo seat ("Sorry, baby," as Pete Townshend drawled in The Who's "A Legal Matter"), under-mounted mirrors, low-profile bars, a side license plate (straight off the Nightster), and chopped fenders, the Forty-Eight makes a tough-guy statement with a fat, 130mm front Dunlop tire. Both the front and rear wheels are black-laced 16s.
Ray Drea Speaks...
"With its classic bulldog shoulders stance, the Forty-Eight strikes a distinctive look and low profile that could only come from Harley-Davidson," said Ray Drea, Harley-Davidson's Senior Director of Styling. "The Forty-Eight model has a collective past life experience and broken-in look that is raw and authentic."
Harley feels the Forty-Eight harkens back to the Sportster's introduction in 1957, when hot rod custom culture ruled the roads, from street corners to drag strips. The dual shorty mufflers reinforce the classic look. There is a new feature that arrives with the bike--new front fork sliders.
Along with the new Forty-Eight, Harley-Davidson's Dark Custom line includes the Nightster, Iron 883, Cross Bones, Fat Bob and Street Bob.

I love cool motorcycles, especially Harley-Davidson. But all did not get to save up for it :-( But someday my dream will come true :-)

At 25,000 this is one expensive bike if the target is the youth market.

However, by the mid eighties, the disaster at Chernobyl and other political issues meant that development effectively stalled – the building was finished, but none of the pass4sure 646-985 radioactive materials were there; the government abandoned it, and the German taxpayer was effectively left with a concrete shell costing 3.5 pass4sure 352-001 billion euros.
When a dutch businessman bought the complex in 1995, he decided to turn it into a hotel pass4sure 646-671 and amusement park – ‘Kernwasser Wunderland’, which translates rather unappealingly to ‘Nuclear Water Wonderland.’ By far the coolest activity in my eyes has to be the ability to both go inside and free climb up pass4sure 1Y0-A09 the huge painted cooling tower.
Despite the obvious stigma of holidaying at a Nuclear Power plant, over half a million people visit annually. And if you still have a nagging worry, you can be reassured by their slogan – “this whole complex guaranteed free of radiation!”
I just bought one and i'll tell ya what , I started a on a $25k Ultra cycle and that bike was total Crap!Looked cool but "Crap".Next ,Had the Electriglide tourer The "BEST BIKE EVER" , After throwing some 12" apes , passager piller and a back rest for my wife , the bike is Perfect , great around town , and smooth on the highway ,Though would not recommend going cross country on it , only about 100 miles on a tank makes it a little inconvieniant ,but my next step in to give it a bigger tank ,keepin it stock , no Harley should stay stock

Pretty sure the author is referring to that portion of the youth market that has at least an ounce of taste, -the ones that wouldn't be caught dead on a Ninja.
I have one and it is great don't knock it till you ride it! ps. to the idoit that post the comment you do not know what you are taking about stick to your bikecycle!
Yep all those "youth market" buyers are going to hop right off their sport bikes and gobble up yet another redressed Sportster. What HD needs is something that will really appeal to that class of rider, something more like the Buell. Oops!
