The Monkey Rock Group, Inc., (OTC:MKRO) (BULLETIN BOARD: MKRO) announced that Guns N' Roses, who made their only U.S. concert appearance of the year on Friday August 13th 2010 at the inaugural Rock N' Rev Festival, performed at the Company's property in Sturgis, South Dakota during the 2010 motorcycle rally.
Guns N' Roses closed the Rock N' Rev festival in front of an estimated 12,000 motorcyclists. Friday Morning Quarterback (known as FMQB), a trade magazine which covers the radio and music industries in the United States, stated in an August 15, 2010 publication that the Rock N' Rev concert series, was "extremely successful."
More than 20 other bands played at Monkey Rock USA over the five-day Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Other acts included Stone Temple Pilots, Godsmack, Creed, 3 Doors Down, Three Days Grace, Cage The Elephant, Skillet, Daughtry, Wolfmother, Hinder, Hellyeah, Shaman's Harvest, Eagles of Death Metal, The Darling Stilettos, Pop Evil, Swayback, Theft, Bad City, Jetstream, Sweet Cyanide and The Color Turning.
John Dent (Founder, Chairman and CEO of Monkey Rock Group, Inc.) says: We were very pleased to have the opportunity to work with the concert promoters and festival owners to host a concert series of this magnitude. The successful concert series clearly demonstrates our capabilities."
"This is an important first step in our goal to become a premier name in special event entertainment. We believe this event significantly increased the visibility of our Monkey Rock brand; and intend to use this event as a springboard to accelerate our growth to many potential new venues throughout the U.S. and internationally."
Monkey Rock is a U.S.-based retail leisure development stage company positioned to service the greater North American motorcycle rally industry. Prior to becoming a public company through its Monkey Rock USA brand, they successfully completed an inaugural event at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in August 2009.
Monkey Rock's goal is to serve some of the country's largest social and sporting events to include motorcycle and auto rallies, rodeo events and auto races.
