Having virtually invented the Adventure category of motorcycling with their formidable GS, BMW has branded their adventure spirit with the distinctive and functional Rallye 2 Pro Suit, the successor to the Rallye 2 Suit, which has become the quintessential GS motorcycle rider's trademark.

BMW Rallye 2 Pro Suite
The BMW Rallye 2 Pro Suit is made of Cordura and incorporates a mesh lining with removable GORE-TEX wind and waterproof inserts with fleece lining. The liners are surprisingly warm and make early morning departures for places unknown bearable. When the sun comes up, along with the temperature, the inserts are easily removed and fold down to manageable size for stowing in side bags.

The two-piece motorcycle jacket and pant suit has armor in the shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees, as well as a large back protector. Leather knee trims provide traction when gripping the tank with the legs. A built-in and removable hip bag and waterproof outer pocket are nice touches, as are the reflective strips. A wide array of zippered vents allows you to tailor airflow. The Rallye 2 Pro comes in grey/black (shown) and grey/blue.

BMW Rallye 2 Gloves
The BMW gear line also has the Rallye 2 Gloves, designed specifically for off-road motorcycle riding, with gel pads on the palm and thumbs to prevent blistering. The gloves have knuckle protection and provide plenty of grip even in wet going.

BMW Functional Underwear
The breathable, skin-tight two-piece BMW Functional Underwear (top and bottom) is made from Meryl Skinlife functional fiber with reinforced areas for improved insulation. Seamless, with extreme stretch capabilities for a perfect fit, the thermal undies are so comfortable you could wear them as pajamas (which I plan to on my next tent-camping outing). The tight fit prevents drafts getting between the material and your skin and the tight elastic cuffs, neck and ankles won't let the cold sneak up your legs or run down your neck.

BMW Rallye GS 2 Boots
To round out the GS look, Rallye GS 2 Boots provide foot and lower leg protection in rugged terrain. The GS 2 Boots have stainless steel toe and large shin guards. The ankle flex is stiff, providing plenty of protection while still allowing enough movement for shifting (although most riders will need to move the shift lever up one notch to accommodate the oversize boot). Fully adjustable aluminum buckles (five per boot) allow the rider to custom fit the pressure across the top of the foot and up the shin.

BMW's off-road motorcycle gear is more than a fashion statement or declaration of brand; developed from years of competition in the grueling Paris-Dakar Rally it provides much-needed protection and an unexpected level of comfort for the adventurer.
