The standard xr 1200 rides 95 percent better with its shocks set to maximum weight. If ya get one, make sure the dealer handles this adjustment. You will pay it later if ya don't. I've rode mine over 800 miles round trip & found that slowing down (post warning light) saves fuel. I never ran out.
