2010 Road Tour
Zero Motorcycles, a leader in the electric motorcycle industry, announced today that motorsports television personality Ralph Sheheen has been selected to serve as spokesperson for the brand as Zero Motorcycles embarks on its first ever multi-city road tour.
In combination with the launch of its entire 2010 product line that is currently in full swing, the Zero Motorcycles national road tour begins in New York, NY, and will travel across the country showcasing all four of Zero's high performance electric motorcycles including the Zero S, DS, MX and X. The new 2010 product line includes more power, color graphics, the Z-Force Air Induction System, new throttle technology and improved suspension.
"Ralph Sheheen understands motorsports and sees Zero as a company that is changing the face of the motorcycle industry," said Gene Banman, CEO, Zero Motorcycles. "As a well respected member of the motorsports community Ralph has become a household name for motorcycle enthusiasts. His endorsement and support will help us bring attention to this rapidly growing segment of the industry."
Sheheen, a veteran broadcaster for SPEED Channel provides play-by-play coverage for AMA Supercross, AMA Superbike, World Superbike, and MotoGP and many other series on the network. Sheheen also divides his time serving as a pit reporter and play-by-play announcer for NASCAR Sprint Cup Series coverage on TNT.
Sheheen's work at SPEED also includes anchoring SPEED Report, the network's cornerstone racing news show, and serving as the play-by-play announcer for the World of Outlaws Knoxville Nationals. He is also a regular contributor on SPEEDtv.com. Sheheen also serves as broadcast talent for an array of racing events on CBS such as F1, Supercross, American Le Mans and was broadcast talent for previously produced NASCAR Cup Series events on CBS including the Daytona 500.
Sheheen's career began in 1988 when he served as broadcast talent for an IMSA sports car race for ESPN. He has also worked for NBC, FOX, ESPN2, FSN and TNN (now Spike TV) calling numerous events such as 12 Hours of Sebring, the F1 Monaco Grand Prix, Indianapolis 500, and U.S. Nationals. In addition, Sheheen has also worked extensively in radio on networks including Motor Racing Network (MRN), Performance Racing Network (PRN), and Indianapolis Motor Speedway Radio Network.
Ralph Sheheen Speaks...
"Zero Motorcycles is innovative, exciting and offers riders the opportunity to discover a new riding experience. I am proud to be associated with Zero because they are in a unique position to change the face of the motorcycle industry," said Sheheen. "Zero Motorcycles ‘gets it' and they've built a line of high-performance electric motorcycles that true motorcycle enthusiasts can appreciate."
The all-new 2010 product line from Zero Motorcycles comes equipped with both performance enhancements and aesthetic upgrades.
