BMW R 1200 GS Video

If you're a fan of Adventure riding, a must-have DVD is the Utah Backcountry Discovery Route (UTBDR).

The UTBDR is an 871 mile off-road route that starts in Mexican Hat and runs north across the state of Utah to the Idaho border near Bear Lake. The UTBDR passes through a number of iconic locations including Moab, Valley of the Gods, the Abajo and La Sal Mountain Ranges, Nine Mile Canyon and the northern Wasatch Mountains.

One man that was on the trip documented in the Backcountry Discovery Route DVD is Touratech-USA's president, Tom Myers.

In the short video attached above, produced by Curbsyde Productions, Myers discusses the bike he rode in the expedition - a Touratech-enhanced BMW R 1200 GS.

Touratech-USA says: "The only 1200cc Adventure bike that made the trip, Tom was able to negotiate a wide variety of terrain, from slick rock to thick mud, riding more than 800 miles across the state of Utah."
