2012 AMA/Rekluse National Enduro Series

This weekend, the first of 10 races in the 2012 AMA/Rekluse National Enduro Series begins with the Sumter National Enduro in South Carolina.

And after along off-season of training and testing in Florida, the Fred Andrews Racing (FAR) team will once again compete on Husqvarna motorcycles. This year's FAR Husqvarna team will consist of Jason Thomas and Andrew Delong.

Thomas will compete aboard a Husky TC250, and Delong a TXC310.

Fred Andrews (FAR Husqvarna Team Owner) says: "We're excited to get back to enduros. Husqvarna made a vast improvement over least year's bikes. The 2011s were good, but this year's are better. We've got some new exhaust systems from Pro Circuit and we're excited to go racing!"

The Husqvarna brand might be a seasoned fixture when it comes to racing enduros, but Thomas and Delong are relatively new to the series and the race format. Andrews - himself a multi-time National Enduro winner - admits that initial expectations are modest. He expects to see great things from the FAR duo once they get some enduro experience under their belts, Husqvarna reports.

Fred Andrews says: "We're definitely going to be top-ten guys - maybe top-five starting out. As the year goes on, we're going to be looking to do better. We're going to try to win one, or some. But our main goal is to bring Husky back to the enduros and show people that we have a strong presence and we're going to get better."
