2012 Kawasaki Wallpaper

For 2012, Kawasaki returns with their signature sport-touring motorcycle, the Concours 14.

The machine is a carry-over model, featuring the already proven 1352cc DOHC inline four, which is basically a detuned ZX-14 engine. And with this powerful motor arrives standard ABS and the tech-savvy Kawasaki Traction Control (K-TRC).

The chassis on the 2012 Concours ABS features a monocoque frame that cradles the engine from the top; this provides "massive stiffness along with excellent handling characteristics and a high degree of rider feedback." To further enhance handling, Tetra-Lever shaft drive utilizes a four-link design to offset the normal up and down mannerisms of shaft-drive system, offering a sport-bike like feel.

And of course there's the highly-advanced braking system, the K-ACT (Kawasaki Advanced Coactive-braking Technology), which offers two modes of linked ABS, and Kawasaki Traction Control, which can be switched off if the rider prefers.

For 2012, the Concours is available in two colors - Ebony/Flat Super Black, and Candy Arabian Red/Flat Super Black; both carry a $15,899 MSRP.
