KTM Supercross

When KTM hired Roger De Coster to spearhead their AMA Supercross efforts, the Austrian company had one goal in mind: winning.

The signing of DeCoster represented a major step forward in vaulting the Austrian company into the global motocross arena. KTM has already reached the top level of the mx sport in Europe and the World Championship GP series and will now also be a dominant force in US competition.

This video shows what it took to prep the KTM riders and 350 SX-F for the 2011 AMA Supercross season.

His career as Suzuki Team Manager in Motocross and Supercross lasted 15 years and produced numerous titles and championships. DeCoster is also the Team Manager of USA at the FIM Motocross of Nations and has led the squad to success in all 20 occasions USA was on top of the rostrum.

Red Bull KTM Factory Team rider Andrew Short earned a decent score at the opening round of the AMA Supercross Series with a 10th place result. His teammate, Mike Alessi finished a few positions back in 14th.

However, the most impressive part of the night will be awarded to the KTM 350 SX-F which debuted in it's first-ever AMA Supercross competition with both factory riders easily qualifying into the main.

The AMA Supercross series continues this Saturday evening from Chase Field in Phoenix.
