2011 MotoGP Top Pedrosa Pics
After a depressing 2010 MotoGP Championship, mostly due to fracturing his left collarbone at Motegi, Dani Pedrosa began 2011 strong.
The 26-year-old Repsol Honda rider took third in the season opener at Qatar, then second at a wet Jerez, followed by his first win of 2011 at Estoril.
But he would again suffer injury at Round 4 in Le Mans. During the French Grand Prix, Pedrosa was bumped by the late Marco Simoncelli (San Carlo Honda Gresini), and crashed. During the wreck, Pedrosa broke his right collarbone, an injury that occurred as he was still suffering from pain in his left collarbone, the one he broke at Motegi in 2010.
Following the Le Mans crash, he was forced to miss the subsequent three MotoGP rounds at Catalunya, Silverstone and Assen. Pedrosa returned at Mugello, and went on to finish the season with six additional podiums that included wins at Sachsenring and Motegi.
All together, Pedrosa finished with nine podiums, allowing him to secure fourth overall in the MotoGP Standings behind then-teammate Andrea Dovizioso in third, Yamaha Factory Racing's Jorge Lorenzo in second and 2011 MotoGP Champion Casey Stoner.
And with his 2011 MotoGP efforts arrived some great photography, which is highlighted above. The photos also make great wallpaper for fans of the number 26 rider.
