Laguna Seca MotoGP

Yamaha has announced that Former World Champions Kenny Roberts and Eddie Lawson will participate in a very special fan lap promotion during a scheduled break in practice and qualifying for the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix on Friday, July 22.

Up to 200 lucky MotoGP fans will have the opportunity to ride with the world champions for several laps around the world-renowned raceway as part of a special weekend ticket promotional package offered through Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.

Kenny and Eddie will both ride special GYT-R equipped YZF-R1's for the event in celebration of the anniversary and their return to the world-famous circuit.

Bob Starr (Communication Manager for Yamaha's Motorsports Group) says: "This special fan opportunity is part of a weekend of celebrations that Yamaha has planned in honor of our 50th Anniversary Celebration of World GP Racing. This event Friday is just part of the surprises we have for MotoGP fans for the entire weekend!"
