2011 Tourist Trophy
From the Isle of Man comes another legendary victor signed by Sidi. The rider John McGuinness literally snatched the Tourist Trophy in the circuit's centennial Isle of Man TT year by clinching the two most important tests, the Dainese 6-Lap Superbike category dedicated to big bikes and in the Senior TT.
This extraordinary feat brings the English rider from Morecambe to 17 consecutive victories in the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy. These are truly numbers for the Guinness books.
Throughout the years, the IOMTT has cemented itself as the oldest, meanest and most fascinating event on the world motorcycle racing scene. It's a veritable arena of risk which only the strongest, bravest riders dare to take on.
There's no playing around here, the competition takes place on a 60.7-kilometer stretch of road with 256 curves and hairpin turns, distributed over some dangerous terrain. Over the years McGuinness has been able to dominate the course, becoming friendly with it one edition after another, victory after victory.
Accompanying "Easy John" along the insidious Mountain route and to the highest step on the podium were Sidi Vortice boots, thus confirming that they're the top-of-the-line in the Sidi collection for speed and on the track.
