2011 Love Ride Bike Show
Iconic actor/biker Peter Fonda (Easy Rider) is literally lending his name to help raise awareness and funds in the fight against autism by signing each of 10 special trophies created from Harley-Davidson pistons for the winners of the 2011 Love Ride Bike Show.
To enhance their experience, "Tonight Show's" Jay Leno is also opening his famous garage to the category winners. The bike show is a key feature of the 28th annual Love Ride charity event, this year featuring country music artists Montgomery Gentry in Castaic Lake, California on October 23.
The Love Ride Bike Show is open to everyone that comes to the event and wants to show their motorcycle. From the pro builder to owners who do it themselves, all are welcome and encouraged to display their pride and joy.
Oliver Shokouh (Love Ride Founder) says: "Of course we love to see what the professional builders put together. By the same token, we love the personal touches and creativity we often see in enthusiast rider's bikes, so we want those guys to have a shot at being recognized, too.
"With this spirit in mind, Peter and Jay have generously offered their special touch to help us create a pair of really memorable prizes."
The winners of each of the 10 bike show categories will take home trophies that are truly unique, every one created from a different Harley-Davidson piston that has been "run hard."
Each piston is captured in a caliper and individually signed by Peter Fonda whose autograph is then permanently engraved into the piston crown.
Each category winner (plus a friend), will also receive a guided tour of Jay Leno's Garage, famous for its rare and unusual motorcycles and cars-an enthusiast's dream.
Bike Show Details
The Love Ride Bike Show is open to anyone that has purchased a Love Ride event ticket ($65) and pays a nominal show entry fee (just $10). There is just one rule: To win, the bike must run and be able to be ridden. You can bring it on a trailer if you must, but if you win, you will be asked to start your bike.

Castaic Lake once again plays host to the Love Ride, with its rolling hills, shade trees and calming lake as the backdrop for a long list of family-friendly activities and an eclectic variety of souvenirs.
Information and registration forms are available online at glendaleharley.com/signup.htm, or in person at Glendale Harley Davidson, 3717 San Fernando Road, Glendale, CA. Forms can also be obtained by calling the dealership at (818) 246-5618.
All makes of motorcycles are welcome to participate in the Love Ride. And even if you don't ride a motorcycle but would like to donate and join the party in beautiful Castaic Lake, there is ample parking for cars and trucks on site.
