Edelweiss Bike Travel

No sooner has the first Edelweiss Discover Our Earth Expedition started-marking the most advanced long-distance motorcycle tour on the globe-the Austrian-based company unveils their plans to top that, before the first one is even completed (the participants on the first tour are somewhere in the southern hemisphere right now).

It's actually these types of somewhat crazed ideas, by somewhat crazed (and we mean this in the nicest of ways) motorcycle travel enthusiasts, that has made Edelweiss the world leader in organized motorcycle tours.

The Discover Our Earth Expeditions represent the zenith of two-wheel travel, and Edelweiss has already started the planning for the Second Edition.

Discover Our Earth Expedition Second Edition will be 300 days in duration and cover 45,000 miles (72,000 kilometers). The planners aren't nuts, they simply are determined to provide the most adventurous motorcycle tour available to the daring riders interested in seeing the world.

The Second Edition starts March 2012 and runs until January 2013. The Expedition covers six continents, starting and ending in Los Angeles, California. Broken into six sections participants can choose to run the entire motorcycle tour or take part in select sections to suit taste, interest, logistics, etc.
