2012 AMA Superbike

This week, Michael Jordan Motorsports (MJM) reported that it had renewed Roger Lee Hayden's contract for the 2012 AMA Superbike Championship, the younger brother of MotoGP's Nicky Hayden competing on the No. 54 National Guard Suzuki GSX-R1000.

And on Thursday, MJM also confirmed that Ben Bostrom, brother of Eric Bostrom, will also remain on the team for 2012. Bostrom, of Malibu, Calif., will pilot the #23 Jordan Suzuki GSX-R1000.

Ben Bostrom (Jordan Suzuki GSX-R1000) says: "I feel so fortunate to return to the Jordan Motorsports team. Last year, they put a huge effort into changing the bike so we can start 2012 at the front and race for a championship. I have a great crew, a great bike and it's always an honor to ride for Michael Jordan. I look forward to paying them back next year with a lot of wins."

Kreig Robinson (Michael Jordan Motorsports Vice President of Corporate Relations) says: "There's something special about Ben. He has world-class talent and is an incredibly intense athlete. Along with Ben's laser-focused dedication and our team's support, we envision a successful 2012."

In 2011 AMA Superbike while competing on the Jordan Suzuki, Bostrom finished fifth overall with 209 points, having taking two podiums - second place at Barber and second place at New Jersey Motorsports Park. Besides AMA Superbike, Bostrom also competed at Laguna Seca MotoGP as a wildcard entry for LCR Honda.

The 2012 AMA Superbike Championship will consists of 11 rounds in 2012, beginning with Daytona March 15-17, and ending with New Orleans Motorsports Park Oct. 5-7.
