Alpinestars Tech Air Race Suit
Alpinestars has been chosen to receive a Best of What's New award from Popular Science magazine in recognition of the Tech Air Race suit's significance as a step forward in safety technology.
Each year, the editors of Popular Science review thousands of products in search of the top 100 tech innovations of the year; breakthrough products and technologies that represent a significant leap in their categories.
The winners - the Best of What's New - are awarded inclusion in the much-anticipated December issue of Popular Science, the most widely read issue of the year since the debut of Best of What's New in 1987.
The Alpinestars Tech Air Suit has been recognized as an outstanding new product in the recreational segment of the annual BOWN awards.
Corresponding with the announcement of the Best of What's New award, Alpinestars has launched a web page dedicated to Airbag Technology.
Outlining the history of Alpinestars electronic, wireless airbag system development, the site covers the 10+ years of research, development and technology invested into the Tech Air Suit. The web page features an interactive timeline covering significant milestones in the development of the Tech Air suit.
For over a decade the system has seen numerous evolutions and been thoroughly tested and researched with Alpinestars GP athletes and champions, from Kenny Roberts Jr. to Jorge Lorenzo and many, many more. The airbag suit is a testament to Alpinestars' 50 year legacy of protecting athletes and this advancement in technology is a glimpse into the future of motorcycle protection.
