2011 Buffalo Chip
It's only February, but the Buffalo Chip began booking bands for the famed Sturgis Bike Week in August.
Two bands were scheduled this week: Alice Cooper and George Thorogood and the Destroyers. Cooper, who will be inducted into the Rock Hall of Fame on March 14 in New York, will perform at the legendary Buffalo Chip on Aug. 6.
Thorogood, a Blues Hall of Famer, will perform with his band the destroyers on the second Saturday of Sturgis Bike Week, Aug. 13.
The two multi-platinum artists have history-making strings of hits that, for Alice Cooper include: "School's Out," "I'm Eighteen," "Only Women Bleed," "Poison," and "Billion Dollar Babies."
Thorogood's hits include: "Bad To The Bone," "One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer," "I Drink Alone," "Madison Blues," and "Move It On Over."
Reservations for the Sturgis event can be made at BuffaloChip.com or by calling 605-347-9000 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. MST, Monday through Friday.
