2011 Yamaha Motorcycle
Brand new for 2011, after a test run in Europe, the FZ8 slips itself in- between the R1-derived FZ1 and the R6-inspired FZ6R.
More naked than the other FZs, the 8 sports a fully high-tech 779cc powerplant with a very healthy 12:1 compression ratio.
A six-speed transmission provides a cog for every condition, while tuned intake funnels give the inline four a solid punch.
A front-end weight bias of 51-percent matches up well to the friendly 25 degrees of rake to create a bike that should be firmly planted in corners.
