2011 990 Dakar

The 2011 limited-edition KTM 990 Adventure Dakar breathes the spirit of the greatest enduro motorcycle rally of all times.

Authentic, cigarette-blue plastic parts with the Bedouine graphics from the KTM Factory Enduro Team that cover the orange motorcycle frame.

A suede-look seat cover prevents the motorcycle rider from slipping around on extreme terrain.

At the same time, the KTM Dakar combines popular features of both the other models; while the Adventure donates the suspension with 210 mm of travel as well as the sensitive Bosch ABS, the engine is that of the 990 Adventure R with maximum output of 85 kW and 115 bhp.

The powerful KTM LC8 engine is a 999cc 4-stroke that has electronic Keihin fuel injection, balancer shaft, hydraulic multi-disc wet clutch, 6-speed gearbox and twin stainless steel silencers with a regulated catalytic converter.

The Chromium-Molybdenum trellis frame is powder-coated orange, with the 75-degree V-twin engine as an integral stress member.

Other 2011 KTM 990 Adventure Dakar features include, fully adjustable WP suspension, integrated multi-functional cockpit, lockable storage compartment, immobilizer and hazard warning lights, 12 volt accessory socket and standard hand guards and orange crash bars.
