Scooter Previews
With scooters continuing to gain more and more worldwide popularity, American Honda’s Powersports Division announced two early-release models for 2011, the Honda PCX and an updated version of the popular Ruckus.
Bill Savino, Honda’s Powersports Press Manager says: “We’ve enjoyed tremendous success with our line of scooters, and now along with the 2011 Ruckus we’re introducing the brand-new PCX, a very stylish 125cc scooter that adds even more depth to Honda’s scooter line.”
2011 Honda PCX
The new machine for 2011 is the Honda PCX, which is branded as “a fun, stylish ride that’s also economical to operate.” The PCX is marketed towards the everyday rider, whether used for errands, short commutes and little getaways.
The mid-sized PCX is packed with features:
> Liquid-cooled fuel-injected four-stroke 125cc single-cylinder engine features a single overhead camshaft for spirited engine performance, excellent fuel economy and clean, efficient operation.
> Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI) offers excellent throttle response over a wide range of riding conditions.
> Electric starter system allows easy push-button starting.
> Sophisticated Honda V-Matic automatic transmission provides seamless acceleration along with twist-and-go simplicity.
> Combined Braking System (CBS) with a 220mm front disc brake with hydraulic three-piston caliper plus a rear drum brake offers strong stopping power.
> Large, lockable under-seat storage space can hold a full-face helmet and more.
The PCX is available in Pearl White and Candy Red, with a price to be announced.

2011 Honda Ruckus
The Honda Ruckus, as Honda calls it “the machine that’s too cool to know it’s a scooter,” is a bare-bones example of two-wheeled transportation.
This urban traffic wanderer features a liquid-cooled, 49cc engine, electric starter and the V-Matic automatic transmission.
New for 2011 is color availability. The Ruckus is offered in orange/black and black, with a price to be announced.
