2011 CVO Preview

The new 2011 Harley-Davidson CVO Road Glide Ultra provides the feature-savvy riders everything they possibly need, from an aerodynamic frame-mounted fairing, to a Road Tech zumo 660 GPS navigation system to upgraded Harman/Kardon Advanced Audio system with BOOM! Bagger speakers and an 8GB iPod nano and dock.

But along with these features also arrives much comfort: a two-up suspended touring seat with dual heat controls, adjustable backrests and leather insert surfaces.

For comfort at speed, Harley did some wind-tunnel testing, which was used to design a new mounting angle for the 16-inch Road Glide windshield and discreet deflectors that reduce buffeting in the rider area.

New CVO Road Glide Ultra FLTRUSE Highlights:

• An exclusive paint scheme, with color-matched inner fairing and speedometer/ tachometer pod
• Road Tech zumo 660 GPS unit with integrated handlebar mount and Navigation Interface Module feeds GPS verbal commands to the radio speakers
• The 40-watt per channel Harman/Kardon Advanced Audio System features four BOOM! Audio High Performance BOOM! Bagger speakers, XM satellite radio, CB/intercom with two headsets, and a new amplifier with customized equalization for the BOOM! Audio speakers
• An 8GB Apple iPod nano with an etched Bar & Shield logo connects to the audio system through an iPod interface and iPod holder located in the saddle bag
• Road Glide 16-inch windshield with a reduced angle to limit buffeting
• Road Glide wind deflectors fit on top of the engine guards and redirect turbulent air from the area between the fairing and the fuel tank
• Hammock-style suspended, dual-control heated seat with leather inserts and reshaped rider area
• Spring-board style suspension system in the passenger area
• Passenger backrest with adjustable lumbar support and leather inserts has "Ultra Road Glide" monogram. An adjustable rider backrest also has leather inserts
• Inner fairing storage box plush liners
• Chrome billet muffler end caps with black spears
• Chrome, 1-inch diameter handlebar has a more-comfortable shape and is internally wired
