2011 Aprilia Motorcycle

It may have lights and mirrors, but weighing around 300 pounds ready to ride, the Aprilia SXV 5.5 is as close to a race bike as a street-legal machine gets.

The Aprilia's low gearing is designed for a supermoto track, so riding the SXV on the freeway is a distinctly unpleasant experience due to intense vibration.

However, in the canyons or on a track, the SXV is an extremely wild ride. 48mm USD forks handle racing conditions without flex and a 320mm disc with a radially mounted caliper makes stoppies as easy as wheelies.
