Money in the Bank
AMA Pro Racing is proud to announce that SunTrust Banks, Inc. has been named the Official Bank of AMA Pro Road Racing. As the official bank of motorsports, SunTrust has long been a supporter of motorcycle racing, most recently as the Title sponsor of the now-retired SunTrust Moto-GT series.
SunTrust will sponsor two contingency programs. The SunTrust Improve Your Position Award will honor the AMA Pro SuperSport Young Gun Rider that improves the most total positions in an event weekend. The $500 award will be presented at the following race during the rider's meetings.
The SunTrust Solid Performer will honor the rider in the AMA Pro National Guard American SuperBike, Daytona SportBike presented by AMSOIL and SuperSport Young Gun class that lead the most laps during the season. The American SuperBike and Daytona SportBike riders will each receive a $5,000 bonus, while the SuperSport rider will receive $1,000. Those awards will be presented at the season-ending banquet.
All riders must run the SunTrust sticker on their bike to be eligible.
"On behalf of everyone at AMA Pro Racing and our competitors," said AMA Pro Racing Chief Operating Officer David Atlas, "we appreciate and value SunTrust Bank's support of our sport."
