The new 2010 Rizla Suzuki GSV-R MotoGP bikes were unveiled today. The race motorcycles that Loris Capirossi and Alvaro Bautista will be riding in this season's MotoGP World Championship are the fourth generation of the 800cc GSV-R four-stroke prototype Grand Prix bike.

The GSV-R has been developed for the 2010 season with a focus of improved acceleration as well as increased durability to coincide with the new engine restrictions that will be implemented into this year's championship.

Improvements to aerodynamics, chassis performance and electronic systems go to make this the most technically advanced racing motorcycle that the Suzuki factory has ever produced. Often this type of race technology trickles down the GSX-R 1000 and GSX-R 600.

The latest incarnation of the Rizla Suzuki GSV-R features a Troy Lee Designs inspired livery, with a dynamic new shade of ‘Rizla' blue. The racers will be seen in the flesh during next week's final pre-season test at Qatar.

Later the new GSV-R will make their racing debut at the opening MotoGP round, also in Qatar, on Sunday April 11th. Capirossi and Alvaro will do their best to challenge the likes of Valentino Rossi, Casey Stoner, Dani Pederosa and Jorge Lorenzo, all who have shown they can win. The 2010 season opener will also be significant, as the new Moto2 bikes will be racing for the first time.
