Dovizioso Out Sick

With weeks to go before the 2010 MotoGP World Championship starts, the Repsol Honda Team had their official presentation last Saturday March 13th in Madrid Spain. Andrea Dovizioso was out sick and left Dani Pedrosa as the sole Repsol Honda MotoGP rider to present the new RC212V 2010.

Andrea Dovizioso was scheduled speak with the media at 6:00 pm in a press conference about his impressions in the saddle of the latest development of the Repsol Honda RC212V. Instead Dovizioso's illness kept him away from the event.

Illness

"I'm really sorry not to able to attend the Repsol Team Launch but unfortunately high fever and flu are keeping me in bed, and at this moment of the season with the Qatar test taking place next week, our priority is to be fit and ready for the last test of the winter."

MotoGP

"Our common goal is to be competitive from round one - we all want to see the Repsol Honda machines fighting at the front every Sunday. We have all worked hard during the winter: Honda has improved all aspects of the package, and from our side we have been committed in training as well as giving direction to the development team."

Honda

"We know that it won't be easy but we will give our best to fight with the fastest riders every race weekend. I'd like to thank Honda. I have raced for my entire career on their race bikes. Together we won the 125cc championship, we came close to taking the 250cc GP World Championship Title for three years in a row, and now I'm very happy to be in the factory Repsol Honda Team for a second year."

Repsol

"I'd also like to thank Repsol for their support. The partnership with Honda is long and solid and I hope that we can share a lot of success this season. I like continuity and so I appreciate Repsol's involvement very much. I can also boast one Repsol machine in my garage: I used to race with Repsol colors in pocket bikes. I was only a child and I was so happy with my Repsol bike. Now that I have grown up I'm wearing the same colors riding for the Repsol Honda team."

2010

"This is where I want to be and I can't wait to get to the first race in Qatar".

Andrea Dovizioso will be back in action next week at the Losail circuit (Qatar), where the last Moto2 pre-season test will be held. The new 2010 Moto2 season will start on April 11th at this very same Losail circuit. The brand new Moto2 class is set to bring very close and exciting racing.
