The Spanish rider involved in the frightening crash at Silverstone this past weekend, Joan Lascorz, is still hospitalized in England. His team, Kawasaki Motocard.com, said it's too early to predict the length of recovery time, but it won't be anytime soon.

Lascorz sustained four broken ribs, a shoulder and finger injury, and some blood in his lungs from the wreck at Silverstone on Sunday during Round 10 of the 2010 World Superbike Championship. The other rider involved in the motorcycle crash, Yamaha rider Roberto Tamburini, has a broken left collarbone.

Lascorz, who qualified third for the WSS race, was bumped by Parkalgar Honda rider Eugene Laverty while exiting turn one in the first lap. Lascorz began sliding on his ZX-6R, and was struck violently by the front wheel of Tamburini's YZF-R6. After the motorcycle accident, the race was immediately red flagged. Upon restart, the delayed 16-lap race was won by Laverty.

In the championship, Lascorz retains third overall with 168 points, just behind Hannspree Ten Kate Honda's Kenan Sofuoglu, and Laverty with 203. Three rounds remain in the World Supersport series.
