Motorcycle Watch
For years, prestige watches and motorcycles have shared a common heritage. It undeniably relates to precision, expert engineering, and originality in design. It is the measure of speed and accuracy of movement.
The result is the development of the sport aesthetic now evident in the ongoing collaboration between iconic Swiss watchmaker JeanRichard and the internationally renowned MV Agusta marque.
Owned by Luigi Macaluso of the Sowind Group, the JeanRichard brand has not only been infused with Italian culture and design elements, but has also become one of the few watch manufacturers that produce their own proprietary movements.
Produced and assembled at the company's facilities in Varese, Italy, the Chronoscope Brutale collection pays homage to the MV Agusta motorcycles, emphasizing extreme virility and power.
Originally introduced in 2008, the series now adds the Chronoscope MV Agusta Brutale America to its already strong, masculine collection of exclusive timepieces that have taken an exciting new place among the world's most coveted brands.
The vulcanized rubber encased 43mm edition, limited to 290 pieces worldwide, has a raised chronograph to enhance depth perception, a dial inspired by motorcycle wheel rims, and counters resembling analog motorcycle speedometers and tachometers.
There is a tinted sapphire case-back that houses the signature JeanRichard JR1000 movement, which is visible through an engraving of the iconic MV Agusta logo.
The matte black design is candidly aggressive, with sharp touches of red on the dial and a vintage calfskin strap. The titanium crown-as well as the black PVD-coated titanium bezel, back, and push buttons-serve to enhance this already demonstrative model, which is also water-resistant to 100 meters.
Additionally, the 63-jewel, self-winding mechanical movement has a power reserve up to 48 hours.
