Team Cycle World Attack Performance Yoshimura Suzuki's Eric Bostrom qualified fourth and finished seventh in the first of two AMA Pro American SuperBike races held August 13-15 at Virginia International Raceway.

Unfortunately, Bostrom crashed out of the second race while contesting sixth place. The team has stayed true to its mission of testing the current class rules, which were introduced last season. After just three race weekends, Team CW has proven that a private team can, in fact, consistently run well into the top 10.

"Our performance at VIR proves that you can build a competitive SuperBike," said crew chief Richard Stanboli.

"Every rider uses a little different language when he talks about the physics of the motorcycle and how it reacts to different changes. Understanding Eric better is allowing us to make changes faster, and you can see it in his performance."

Bostrom acknowledged that, despite some setbacks, the team is making progress.

Eric Bostrom says: "I told myself, ‘Hey, the bike is pretty darned good. Now, it's time to do my job and put in some decent laps.' We did that at VIR, and I think we're in a really great position right now for our final races at Barber in September."

Team Cycle World Attack Performance Yoshimura Suzuki will wrap up its four-round AMA Pro American SuperBike project September 24-26 at the season-ending Superbike Classic at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama.
