Motorcycle Recall

Ducati is recalling various 2010 Multistrada 1200 models due to possible hazards from three separate items: throttle cables, center stand and the steering head.

Throttle Cables Recalls

Ducati says 396 Multistrada 1200 models are being recalled due to throttle cable problems. The cables may come into contact with the upper edge of the radiator during normal operation of the motorcycle.

This situation may cause the cables to become chafed by the radiator, causing a potential hazard. To remedy, Dealers will secure the throttle cables to the frame above the radiator free of charge.

Center Stand Recalls

Ducati says 495 Multistrada 1200 S Touring edition models are being recalled due to the center stand mounting screws loosening during normal operation. This may cause the center stand to possibly become displaced, resulting in potential hazard or damage to the bike.

To remedy, dealers will remove the center stand screws and apply a thread-locking compound free of charge.

Steering Head Recalls

Ducati says 196 Multistrada 1200 models are being recalled due to an incorrect screw that may have been installed in the steering head. This could cause the steering head to possibly become loose during normal operation, resulting in a potential hazard.

Ducati will replace the steering head screw with the correct screw free of charge.
