Motorcycle Recalls

Ducati is recalling 1,196 Multistrada 1200S motorcycles manufactured in 2010 due to fuel system malfunctions (Electronic Control Unit ECU).

Ducati says the Multistrada 1200 S could stall during downshifting or when the clutch is disengaged while the engine is at idle; engine stalling could increase the risk of a crash.

Dealers will "re-flash" the ECU free of charge. The safety recall is expected to begin during January 2011. Owners may contact Ducati at 1-800-231-6696.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or visit safercar.gov.
